The final Committee (SC) of the ACP-EU TBT Programme was held at the ACP House on Friday, June 9th, 2017. The Committee was chaired by Mr. Viwanou Gnassounou, Assistant Secretary-General responsible for Sustainable Economic Development and Trade at the ACP Secretariat.

In addition to the formal Steering Committee members such as those from DEVCO and the ACP Secretariat, the meeting was also observed by representatives of AFRAC, ARSO, the Pacific Island Forum (PIF), CROSQ and the Physikalisch Technische Budesanstalt (PTB). The meeting was also attended by the Team Leader of the newly established TradeCom II, thereby underscoring the sound collaboration among trade capacity building PMUs.

During the meeting, the various stakeholders and observers were generally positive in the remarks on the Programme’s final work but also commented on the good work done in terms of dissemination of the Programme’s results.

The Chairman ended the discussions by saying that the sustainability of the Programme should be a priority and to this end the representative from DEVCO suggested to organise an InfoPoint conference on June 22nd just before the end of the Programme to communicate on the Programme evaluation and results' dissemination.

Finally, ASG Gnassounou closed the meeting by commending the PMU for its effective work and final results presentation.
